WELL VISITED MEMBERS MEETING SHOW THE POWER OF OUR ORGANIZATION

Over the past two weeks, the General Members' Meetings have taken place at five locations in our working area. The recently approved annual results were discussed, elections were held for the Council of Members and various (cultivation-technical) presentations were given. For example, Dingeman Burgers, one of our own growers, has shown how he makes choices for climate-proof soil. And Albert Wolfs of HLB has given a presentation specifically for our growers in the sand area. With this we show the strength and added value of our organization. This is also shown in:
• (personal) guidance and advice.
• With maximum yield for the grower.
• Freedom in various pricing systems with the Nedato Flex System.
• Collectively we have more market volume, strength and logistical efficiency.

Results of the elections

After counting all the votes it was found that Kees van Beek, Vincent Coolbergen, Jacko Verstraten and Gé van der Weijden were elected with an overwhelming majority of the votes. We congratulate them on their reappointment.

The Council of Members regularly consults with the management team of Nedato and functions as an important sounding board group and is timely involved in policy decisions in the longer term and developments within the company. The Council of Members represents your interests in this. A good reflection of the membership with spread of region, crop segments, age, etc. is therefore important.

Good year results

Nedato closed the financial year 2017-2018 with a net result of € 1,247K and the General Meeting of Shareholders recently decided to distribute the total result to the shareholders.

The financial position of Nedato is good. The consolidated balance sheet shows that shareholders' equity at the balance sheet date is 67% of the balance sheet total. This gives excellent payment security for our growers and is also a good starting point for further investments to increase the sale of our potatoes.

Consumer behavior is changing at a fast pace: convenience, fresh and healthy, tasty and varied, product origin, eating outside the door ...

The Nedato organization has been set up to put our cultivated product THE POTATO in the market in this changing environment with a market-based price for the growers. That is why we must ensure that we are ready for tomorrow's market with a growth plan full of courage and decisiveness.
